Experience & Background

More than 4 years’ experience in Intellectual Property rights in Israel and abroad.
More than 10 years of experience in research and development, specializing in different fields. Worked with extremely complex techniques that require high levels of preparation, rapid situation assessment, flexibility and adjustment of strategies.

April 2014 – February 2018: IP Scientific Associate at Dr. Eyal Bressler LTD, Ramat Gan, Israel. Drafting and filing patent and design applications in Israel and abroad. Drafting and filing Plant breeder’s right applications in Israel and abroad.

April 2012 – April 2013: Postdoctoral Fellow at Buck Institute for Research on Aging, Novato, CA, USA. Research topic: retinal regeneration using iPSCs. During this period, I was also the Head of the Postdoc Association in our Institute, work that includes coordinating meetings, activities and fund raising. Also, developing new policies between the management of the Institute and the postdocs.

April 2010 – March 2012: Research Coordinator at Bruce Gelb’s Lab at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, NY, USA. Research topic: gene correction on iPSCs. During this period, I was also responsible for the upgrading of our cell culture room, work that includes managing tight schedules (2 months period), technical knowledge and adaptation to limitations of budget (20K USD) and physical space.

January 2008 – March 2010: Lab manager at the Laboratory of Biochemistry (Prof. Tiziana Crepaldi) at the Dept. of Anatomy, Pharmacology and Forensic Medicine, Turin, Italy.

Research topic: generation of mouse model for research on heart regeneration. Managerial aspect included budget management (managed to spend in two years the budget that was expected to be spent in one. 50K €), working with suppliers, training students (total of 6 in this period), manager of the Animal Facility, writing grants, interviewing potential students, and more.

May 2003 – Sept 2007: Technician at the Laboratory of Biochemistry (Prof. Carola Ponzetto) at the Dept. of Anatomy, Pharmacology and Forensic Medicine, Turin, Italy.
Research topic: cancer research. Responsible of updating inventory, working with suppliers, replenishment of consumables, general maintenance.

March 2014: CRA/GCP course 49, Bioforum, IL

University of Turin (Italy), Faculty of Biotechnology:

January 2012: Ph.D in Molecular Medicine – Biochemistry and Cellular Biotechnology (half done in Italy, half done in USA)

October 2007: MSc. in Molecular Biotechnology
October 2005: BSc. In Molecular Biotechnology
