In the past several years Shay has worked as a Scientific Advisor in the patent and intellectual property groups of some of the largest patent firms in Israel.

During these positions, he has gained a vast experience in patents and technology analysis in the fields of Biotechnology, Medical Devices, Life science, Biochemistry, Pharmaceuticals and Nanotechnology.
In addition, during the last several years, Shay has worked as a Business and R&D consultant, specializing at fundraising for technology-based companies, mostly in the fields of Medical Devices, Bioinformatics, Biotech and Electronics.

2010-2012 Researcher in a biochemistry laboratory at Tel Aviv University.

As part of his research, Shay has lead scientific experiments in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and in the field of Plasmon Resonance of Gold and Silver Nano-particles.
